General Electric College Bowl -- Live telecast March 9th, 1966
Agnes Scott College vs. Princeton University
In September 2006, I uploaded this in the quality and length restrictions of then-RUclips. It remains here in three parts from that original upload. Here it is in full length in a single video -- and at the best quality that I have it. So far as I understand, the copyrights to this live NBC telecast have been allowed to lapse. It was uploaded, and is uploaded again, merely as an historic document.

A slightly abridged and tinted version of Frank Capra's episode 4 of the Why We Fight Series (1943). Wish I had a better or clearer or cleaner or higher res original file to work with.

Acrobat Michael McNamara demonstrates both his ability to stand on a pedestal on one hand while spinning five hoops and his skill at tap dancing on his hands. Sadly, Michael died less than eight years later on December 7, 1967 as a result of a car-pedestrian accident. His friend credited him with saving his life, as Michael saw the car coming and pushed him out of its path before being struck. ...

Acrobat Michael McNamara demonstrates both his "one finger trick" and his never-duplicated-by-any-other descent down a stairs of pedestals on one hand. Sadly, Michael died nearly five years later on December 7, 1967 as a result of a car-pedestrian accident. His friend credited him with saving his life, as Michael saw the car coming and pushed him out of its path before being struck. Michael was...

1972 - 1993 Days of Our Lives open

This was the opening used by "Days of Our Lives" from 1972 through 1993. The only change from the beginning was the removal of the "Copyright 1972 Corday Productions" subtitle, which was removed weeks before this recording was made in 1985. It's kind of hard to see in this MP4, but careful observation reveals a slight line midway up the mound of hourglass sand after the appearance of the title ...

For FIFTY YEARS scientists have known about global warming. This exerpt is from the well known educational documentary "Unchained Goddess" produced by Frank Capra for Bell Labs for their television program "The Bell Telephone Hour." It was so well made, that it went on to live a continued life in middle school science classrooms across the nation for decades. Nearly half a century before Al Gor...

Best job I ever had…Classic!
The women on my dad's side of the family would watch the "stories" religiously!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My brother was an extra in this commercial
So here is exactly what happened. He went back in time and discovered that coke was using real cocaine in their soft drink, so he did the next logical thing. Realizing that crack is much more addictive than cocaine he put large amounts of it in Pepsi. Crack the choice of a new generation.
My grandma would watch this sometime in 2003 in rural saskatchewan. One of my core memories, along with watching unsolved mysteries forensic files lol
At the babysitters house every day watching this shit was annoying as a kid in the late 80s early 90s
I’m edging so hard rn..
This gives me goosebumps 🥹. It immediately transports me back into time.
Koopsta Knicca Stash Pot
This is the sound of my childhood.
Ok but why was it necessary for the narrator to say who he was?
I could hear this ringing in my sleep wow first hearing this theme blaring on the tv 📺 set in 1977 😂😂😂😂. 4 years old at the time 😂😂😂😂
This brings back so many memories 🤧 my grandmother and her best friend sista holiday watch these stories religiously!🤣😂 Don't ask her nothen while them stories were on 😂🤣😂my grandma had a big beautiful garden in the backyard she grew row's of corn and mustard and turnip's and collard greens and green beans and tomatoes and strawberries and grapes she would get up at 6 am take her bath and put on her clothes and go out in the back and pick some green beans and tomatoes and some mustards and turnips and she'd bring them in and wash them off the greens and put them in the pot with ham hock's in it and she'd wash the green beans off put them in a big bowl and start picking them and on the phone with her best friend sista holiday watching the stories😂those were the best of times I miss those days so much
This was my mom’s favorite soap opera.
South Park, Go God Go
Grandma would say, "Don't you touch my stories!!!!! 😅
This is such a good sample
Thank you for putting this on! Was in my head all day
0:04 ❤
I'm.."dumb old canary"...
Love his intro voice it's so distinguished .
I remember when my mom was pregnant with my little brothers, she was home on bed rest for a lot of the pregnancy so she watched a lot of tv. I remember going into the living room and watching it with her and every single day she would tune in to this show and I would get so upset because I thought it was boring. I was only like 3 at the time so I would get mad and go to my room. 😂 Those were good times.
Most iconic TV theme song ever
Reminds me of blowing out of school in the 80s
I used to watch Days of Our Lives everyday.
So many memories of my childhood. Playing with my toys while my mom watched her "stories" in the living room ❤😊
This week….on Days of our Steelers
i like that hourglass ⌛
Wonder if any of these "kids" are still with us today . After all , it was 60years ago.
Early 90s at my friend's house because at home we didn't have TV set down in Afrika
Memories of a sun-drenched living room. Mom making soup in the kitchen. Staying home from school, and hearing the intro. King for a day! "Those were the Days of My Life"
Project Pat North Memphis 👍🏿😎👍🏿
Very intelligent college students even their wrong answers are more intelligent compared to today college students which have gotten much more dumb
Im a pepper, too.
This was one of my grandmas favorite soap operas other then as the world turns I remember when I was growing up my grandma would record days of our lives and as the world turns once ATWT stopped being made my grandma watched the bold and the beautiful and young and the restless as well as days
My mom watched this in the mornings. I was a 2000 baby
... haunting, eh ?
Brings back memories
Omg the show is running for 52yrs now, must be some record?
Longer than that, Days of our Lives debut was November 8th, 1965.
Wow, you know it is old when you mail to a company in a city. No street name or number needed. 😄
5:40 - best part of the game. $100 bets the two on the left were dating each other. Thought the woman third from left (Gearreald) might be blind; comments said true. If so, she did an excellent job of reading a synopsis of her school; great speaking voice too. What a nail-biter this contest was!
@ 0:01, WWJ-TV (now WDIV-TV), Channel 4, Detroit. Our NBC affiliate then and still is to this day.
Huh 😂-🤑L
Oh and let me not forget my favorite I miss me some Stefano Dimeria rip and Victor kiriakis rip best soap ever
Woooooow. For some unknown reasons I just woke up missing this intro and searched for it.... I wont forget the small black and white tv we used to watch this on in the 90s
Reminds me of when I was a whippersnapper(I liked this theme song). My mom(rip) watched this show.
I remember watching Bo and Hope with my auntie all through the 80’s.
1980-89 It was a really excellent time.
Bo and Hope ❤
